One Man, Two Guvnors in final 3 weeks in West End before Tour
The National Theatre’s critically acclaimed smash-hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors will complete its West End run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on 1st March 2014, as previously announced, prior to a third UK and Ireland tour beginning in May 2014.
One Man, Two Guvnors, which has now been seen over 1 million people worldwide, recently became the longest running show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in almost 200 years and will have played almost 900 London performances when it completes its West End run.
Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother – who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a job with one Stanley Stubbers – but to prevent discovery, he must keep his two guvnors apart. Simple.
The West End cast comprises Owain Arthur (Francis Henshall) Angela Griffin (Dolly), Kellie Shirley (Pauline Clench), Peter Caulfield (Alfie), Dominic Thorburn (Alan Dangle) Sam Alexander (Stanley Stubbers), David Benson (Gareth), Ian Burfield (Charlie Clench), Amy Cudden (Rachel Crabbe), Derek Elroy (Lloyd Boateng) and Hugh Sachs (Harry Dangle). Mensah Bediako, Sophie Cosson, Stephen Leask, Nadim Naaman, Gemma Salter and Patrick Warner make up the ensemble.
