First London Theatre App Launched for iPhone and Android Mobile Phones
LastMinuteTheatreTickets.com have this week launched the first London Theatre mobile phone App that can be used on iPhone and Android networks, from which theatregoers can book theatre tickets through a secure booking system and also read London theatre news, show reviews and cast interviews.
This new mobile phone App, which is free to download from the iPhone store and the Android Market from anywhere in the world, is unique in that it is the only London theatre App on the market that can be used by two of the leading mobile phone platforms.
Neil Cheesman who owns the website and has introduced the London Theatre Mobile App is keen to utilise it to raise the awareness of London theatre to UK residents, and also to help promote London theatre and attractions to tourists from the rest of Europe and from around the world. While the majority of customers are from London and the UK, during the past year LastMinuteTheatreTickets.com have sold tickets to visitors from 180 different countries.
Users of the App can book tickets online anytime of the day for London theatre, sightseeing attractions and various events in London and the UK. There are also special offers including discounted theatre tickets and show packages for London West End theatres. The website blog is updated daily on the App with theatre news items, reviews and cast interviews.
The cast interviews include stars from top West End shows including Wicked, Legally Blonde, The Phantom of The Opera, The Lion King, The Wizard of Oz, We Will Rock You, Billy Elliot, Chicago, Thriller, The 39 Steps, Mamma Mia, Shrek, The Mousetrap and many more.
The London Theatre App is produced by Oslo-based Majoobi AS whose aim is to enable businesses to create premium quality, feature-rich mobile apps that work across iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

News: The live news feed directly from our website provides up to date information on news items, reviews, special offers and cast interviews
Featured: There are Featured shows that include special offers and top selling tickets
Shows: The list of shows can be accessed in different ways in order to make it easier for the user. All shows can be found on the Shows tab and they are listed under various categories, there is also the option to Search for the show of your choice. For example, all musicals are listed together so that if you wish to see a musical then you can see what is available. When booking tickets you can either use the secure online booking system or book by telephone. The live ticket search system shows what is available on your chose date and also other dates where tickets may also be available.
A seating plan is shown in order to assist with booking tickets so that you can see where you will be seated. Seat numbers are shown at the checkout BEFORE payment is made, so that you can always go back and choose again.
Theatres: In the Theatres tab you can see the London theatres and then what show is on at each theatre.
For each London theatre address you can utilise your mobile phone’s navigation system to get directions to any of the theatres.
Interviews: There are interviews with West End cast that are being added to each week. Find out if your favourite actor has been interviewed and what they have to say?
