Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy Star Skylight West End revival

Skylight at Wyndham's TheatreTICKETS NOW ON SALE! Carey Mulligan and Bill Nighy are to star as former lovers in Stephen Daldry’s upcoming West End revival of David Hare’s Skylight. The production will begin performances on 6th June at Wyndham’s Theatre. This will be Carey Mulligan’s West End debut.

Skylight first premiered in 1995 at the Royal National Theatre, Cottesloe, directed by Richard Eyre and starring Michael Gambon as Tom and Lia Williams and Kyra. The show transferred to Wyndham’s Theatre in 1996, winning the Olivier Award for Best New Play.. The show transferred to Broadway with the same cast and had Tony nominations for Best Play, Leading Actor and Actress and Direction.

Kyra is a teacher in London who is reunited with her ex, a restaurateur called Tom Sergeant (Nighy). The pair soon discovers they now disagree on everything from politics to sex.

Bill Nighy has played Tom in a previous revival. Also in the cast will be Matthew Beard, who appeared opposite Mulligan in the movie An Education, as Tom’s son.
