Bristol Hippodrome: Seating & Access Guide

Choosing the Best Seat:
- Best for Visual Clarity (BSL/Visual Impairment): Rows B and C in the Stalls (highlighted in yellow on official maps) are the designated choice for the best view of the stage and BSL interpreters.
- Upper Circle Warning: Please note this level uses cushioned bench seating. These are 43cm wide but lack individual armrests and high backs found in the Stalls (41cm wide).
Mobility & Step-Free Alerts:
- Strictly No Lift: There is no lift access to the Grand Circle or Upper Circle. All accessible seating is located within the Stalls.
- Step Heights: Be aware that while the Denmark St entrance is level, the auditorium has varying step heights. Row P has steep 20cm steps, while the ends of rows F-W have shallower 14cm steps for easier access.
- Wheelchair Platform: The dedicated wheelchair platform is located in Row P. For those who prefer to transfer to a theatre seat, the ends of Rows F through W (Stage Right/Left-hand side) are the designated “Limited Mobility” zones.
Pro-Tip for Arrivals:
The Denmark Street Access Entrance opens approximately 30 minutes before the curtain rises. If you are sitting in the Stalls and want to avoid the main foyer crowds, this is the most direct route to your seat.
