Dirty Dancing is a 1987 romance film credited as being one of the most watched films of all time. Originally produced on stage and written by Eleanor Bergstein. In 2004 the stage version of Dirty Dancing opened in Australia. The story details the time that a teenage girl matures into womanhood through a relationship with a dance instructor during a family holiday. About a third of the film involves dance scenes.

Originally a low budget film, Dirty Dancing has become a major box office hit. As of 2007, it has earned million dollars worldwide. It was the first film to sell over a million copies on home video. The Dirty Dancing soundtrack generated two platinum albums and many singles.

'That was the summer of 1963, when everybody called me baby and it didn't occur to me to mind. That was before President Kennedy got shot, before the Beatles came and I thought I'd never find a guy as great as my dad.'

Experience the excitement and romance of the fabulous film Dirty Dancing live on stage. Featuring the hit songs from arguably the best selling movie sound track of all time.
