Some theatre casting news today from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Jamie Ballard and Josie McNee have been cast in Measure For Measure. They will play Angelo and Isabella in the production which will be at the Swan Theatre on November 23rd 2011. Previews will be from the 17th of November. 
The cast will also feature a long awaited return to the RSC from Raymond Coulthard in the role of Duke Vincentio. Coulthard last worked for the RSC in 1997.
The play will be the first Shakespeare play directed by RSC associate Roxanne Silbert for the company. She said: “Directing Measure for Measure, a brilliant play politically and philosophically, would always have been a pleasure and a privilege. It’s been made an even more exceptional experience to envision it for The Swan – a space I’ve always loved for its warmth, charm and intimacy with the audience.”
Josie McNee will be making her RSC debut with Measure For Measure, Jamie Ballard previously worked for the company in 2005 in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado about Nothing and King John.
