Nigel Harman has been cast to play the part of a character based on Simon Cowell in the forthcoming I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical by Harry Hill and Steve Brown.
Harman will be joined in the principal cast by Cynthia Erivo, who is currently appearing in The Color Purple at the Menier Chocolate Factory, also joining the cast will be Holby City star Alan Morrissey.
I Can’t Sing! premieres at the London Palladium on 26th March 2014 with previews from 27th February 2014.

Nigel Harman’s recent West End credits include A Chorus of Disapproval and Shrek the Musical.
Cynthia Erivo, who will play the central contestant Chenice. As well as currently starring in The Color Purple at the Menier Chocolate Factory she has previously appeared in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Gielgud Theatre), Sister Act The Musical (UK Tour) and LIFT (Soho Theatre).
I Can’t Sing! is directed by Olivier Award-winner Sean Foley and produced by Stage Entertainment and Syco Entertainment, which is owned by X Factor supremo Simon Cowell.
The official press launch will be on Monday 2nd September where Simon Cowell will also be in attendance.
